books to read before or on your travelsIf you're a bookworm like me, you can't go long without a book in hand.
Reading while waiting in the airport, on a long flight, relaxing on the train as you go from Tokyo to Kanazawa, you have plenty of time to enjoy new worlds and meet new characters. As a history-buff and vintage lover, I've read my fair share of non-fiction books. I love to be able to geek out on places I visit that I've read about. But this goes for fiction as well. I've read plenty where they reference places or times in history, especially historical fiction set during WWII. If you're planning a trip, check out your local bookstore or e-reader for books to read before, during, or even after that takes place in your destination.
